April 30, 2013

With time, I have come to develop some serious interests in a few American TV shows. I end up spending most of my time glued on the screen being very careful not to miss my favorite shows. In particular, I have 3 favorite TV shows of all time which I will share with you.

The Vampire Diaries

The Vampire Diaries is one show that has proved to be one of my all time favorite. It is a show based on L.J. Smith’s novel series. Smith shades light into 17-year old Elena Gilbert’s (Nina Dobrev) diary. Elena stays with her aunt Jenna. She lives there with Jeremy, her 15-year old brother (Steven McQueen). Elena is in need of comfort and turns to her friends in her social circle-Caroline Forbes, Bonnie, who is her best friend and Matt Donovan who is her ex-boyfriend. The Vampire Diaries goes on to be very interesting with some parts with chilly and superb scenes.

How I Met Your Mother

This is a comedy based on the life of Ted (Josh Radnor) and how he came to fall in love. It starts with Marshall (Jason Segel), who is Ted’s best friend, dropping a bombshell that he was to soon propose to Lily (Alyson Hannigan) his long-time girlfriend who is a teacher at a kindergarten This makes Ted realize that he too needs to find the love of his life. Barney (Neil Harris), his friend decides to help him find his love. Later, Ted meets Robin (Cobie Smulder), and falls in love at sight tough destiny had its own fate. This series is given through flashbacks from the future, very cool indeed.

NCIS

NCIS, the works of Donald Bellisario, is a very interesting show that seeks to investigate the inner activities of government agencies and investigates crimes that involve the Marine and Navy Corps officials, regardless of position or rank. From terrorism, espionage, murder and stolen submarines, the special investigators traverse the world to look into all crimes with Marine or Navy Corps ties. Watching NCIS has proved very inspirational to me and I usually find myself watching and watching it time and over again. It’s simply the best.

Mad Men

This is another interesting TV show created by the renowned Matthew Weiner. Produced by Lionsgate Television Company, this interesting TV drama highlights the on goings of an advertising firm and its employees as well as associates. With vibrant of the characters such as Don Drapper played by Jon Hamm, Peggy Olson portrayed by Elisabeth Moss, and Pete Campbell played by Vincent Kartheiser, this TV show will most definitely keep you glued to your screen. Since it was screened for the first time in 2007 in the cable network AMC, Mad Men has remained hilarious and has never lost any taste. Check out TVHack’s Mad Men episode guide for more details…

I am also a fan of Game of Thrones but I haven’t finished watching the 2nd season so I don’t want to write about it before I know a little more. You can find plenty of information on this show, including the 3rd season, on TVHackr’s Game of Thrones episode guide.
